12 個月 push 17.9B 次，破前兩年總和
GitHub 28 號發布嘅 2026 Octoverse 年度報告話，過去 12 個月開發者喺平台 push 代碼 17.9B 次，超過 2024 同 2025 兩年加埋；commit（提交）總數 34.3B 次，係兩年前嘅三倍以上；合併嘅 pull request（代碼合併請求）1.3B 次，日均 3.5M。
四成 PR 由 agent 起頭
報告指，截至 9 月超過 40% 嘅 pull request 係開發者指示 agent（AI 代理，可執行代碼生成同修改嘅自動化助手）開始；3 月呢個數字只係 17%。有 agent 設定檔嘅新 repo，平均 commit 數係冇 agent 嘅 8 倍。61% 嘅 GitHub Copilot 用户同時使用多個模型。
首個按行業分類嘅公開 repo 統計
呢份報告首次將 public repo（公開倉庫）按行業分類，話 mining、construction、health care、agriculture 四個行業嘅 repo 較 2022 增長數倍。

Nepal 有開發者建咗個洪水預警頁（Gati），用 GitHub Pages（靜態網站託管）同 Actions（自動化）運行，做尼泊爾語優先嘅官方災難信息轉發。NASA 噴氣推進實驗室嘅開發者喺寫太空船艙載程序，亦有發燒友做咗個 e-reader 嘅 open-source firmware（開源韌體）。
