Simon Willison 喺 2026 年 10 月 25 日發出自己開發嘅一個 cropping tool（裁剪工具），佢話呢個工具「weird and very specific」（好怪同好特定）：放一條橫線或者直線喺圖片上，再將兩邊相對滑動，實際效果就係把中間某一條切掉。佢喺 post 入面寫：「I built this weird and very specific cropping tool - it lets you create a horizontal or vertical cut across an image, then slide the two sides relative to each other. Effectively it lets you crop out a section in the middle of an image.」

佢話寫呢個工具嘅動機好實際：平時用 iPhone 上面嘅 Tailor app 把多張 screenshot（截圖）拼做一張超長圖，但有時就會想將中間某段抹走。佢舉咗個例子——例如想把對話記錄入面一個 irrelevant prompt（無關嘅提示詞）抹掉：「I wanted this because I often use Tailor on my iPhone to stitch several screenshots together into lot long image, but sometimes I find myself wanting to crop out a section in the middle - to redact an irrelevant prompt from a transcript, for example.」

呢個工具嘅功能唔複雜，就係把一張圖從中間切兩半、將兩半對錯位，令中間一塊消失。唔係 AI 生成、唔係 AI 修復，純粹係裁剪（crop）嘅機械操作。
